Here is a comment we hear on a regular basis:
"When it was meal time, all of the nursing staff went down to the lunch room. The patients that couldn't go down there couldn't get help when they pressed the call button because everybody was in the lunch room."
We all know that it is very important to fully staff the dining rooms during meal times. Yet it is also very important to evaluate the systems to assure the patients who choose to stay in their rooms are not neglected.
